I've been in a huge reading slump lately and I thought looking for 2022 book releases would get me excited to read again. Because we are well into 2022 already, some books are already out but it's all for the better. enjoy!

I love reading about complicated friendships and I love reading about books that cover a large time span so two good reasons for me to read this book.

A romcom set on a reality tv show ? I’m sold. I actually ordered it last week to get out of my reading slump and it’s very good so far.

I must betray you by Ruta Sepeytis February 1st

I read Between Shades of Grey when I was super young and it was definitely hard to read but I haven’t delved into this author’s work since then, seems like a good time to.

Ophelia After All by Racquel Marie February 8th

Saw a review saying that the characterisation was out of this world and that it described better than usual YAs the teenager experience. Also the cover is the cutest thing ever.

Portrait of a Thief by Grace D. Li April 5th

It’s been two years since I’ve read Six of Crows so I’m fully ready to immerse myself in a heist novel again.

The Romantic Agenda by Claire Kann April 12th

Still haven’t read any of Claire Kann’s books and I should remedy that. Also, it has the fake-dating trop and it’s the best trope out there in my opinion.

Yerba Buena by Nina LaCour May 31st

I loved Hold Still and still haven’t read We are okay because I can’t order it (it’s a sore point, don’t remind me). Anyway, this is her debut adult novel and I’m excited for it.

Husband Material by Alexis Hall August 2nd

A little presumptuous of me to put it there because I still haven’t read the first one but maybe it will motivate me to do so.

Aces Wild by Amanda DeWitt September 6th

Another heist novel, except make it ace. This seems like the most chaotic thing ever and I’m all for it.

Kiss Her Once for me by Alison Cochrun Fall 2022

I know nothing about this book except it’s by Alison Cochrun, who wrote The Charm Offensive which was one of my five stars read of 2021, and that’s enough for me to be an instant buy.

Hope you enjoyed this article and it gave you ideas of what to read next !
